If you are pregnant, the results will read “Pregnant” and if you are not pregnant, the results will read “Not Pregnant”. Pretty simple, right? No lines to interpret, no uncertainty regarding the results.
Keep in mind that if your test comes out negative and you don’t get a period, you should retest in a few days. It may be that you tested too early for the test to detect the small amounts of hcg in your urine. If the test still comes out negative a week or two later and you still haven’t gotten your period, check in with your doctor for confirmation with a blood test.
