Best Solids to Feed Your Baby

Like avocados, bananas are full of vitamins and minerals including vitamins A, C and folate. Bananas are also a good source of potassium, phosphorus, selenium, magnesium and calcium.

Sweet Potatoes

The slightly sweet taste makes this a nice option for any baby, especially those with a picky palate. Plus, sweet potatoes are packed full of essential minerals including selenium, phosphorous, magnesium and calcium. They are also high in vitamin A content. To prepare baby-friendly sweet potatoes, remove the skins and chop into small chunks. Add a little water and simmer the mixture on medium-high heat until soft. Then, blend the mixture in a food processor to reach baby consistency. Add breast milk or formula as desired.
