Some Cities have Trained Professionals…
Before putting your infant in the car seat for the first time, call your local police department. Many municipalities offer a trained professional to inspect your car seat – for free! Equipped with special training the professional will be able to double check that your car seat has been assembled properly, is in the correct location in the car and meets safety standards.
Do not wait until last minute to have your car seat inspected as the person who is trained may not be available. Do this at least two weeks before your due date to ensure you will be ready to take home your baby from the hospital — safely!
