3 Effective Means To Find Out The Gender Of Your Baby

2) Genetic Testing
Genetic testing such as an amniocentesis and the chorionic villus (CVS) sampling can both almost perfectly identify the gender of the baby. The amnio can be done after 14 weeks of pregnancy, and the CVS can be done between weeks 10 and 14. Both tests carry additional risks so having them done solely for the purpose of determining the gender is not usually recommended. If they are being done to gather genetic information, then you can request finding out the gender of the child at the same time.

3) Chinese Lunar Calendar
While there is no medical or scientific evidence that supports the theory that this process works some women swear by the Chinese Lunar Calendar’s accuracy so it is only fair to include it. There is a variety of versions of this process on the Internet, but the basic process is to note the age of the mother when she conceived and the month she conceived in. Compare this age and month to the lunar calendar to determine the gender of the baby.

Finding out the gender of the baby before it is born lets you buy clothing to suit it, decorate the nursery, and start thinking of names. Some mothers and couples, however, like the surprise and want to find out the sex of the child the natural way. Discuss with your doctor your best option for determining the gender of your child if knowing is important to you.
