Travel With Your 6 – 12 Month Old Baby With Ease

Don’t feel restricted to a family resort though. Traveling anywhere with a baby is possible, as long as you keep an open mind and do a little advanced planning. Baby might not be up to spending hours in a quiet museum, but there’s a lot you still can do. You can see a lot of a city by walking around, with baby in her carrier or stroller. Check out the local zoo or aquarium; state parks make a great way to spend an afternoon.

What to Bring

For the most part, bring enough diapers, wipes and supplies with you for the journey, and pick up what you need when you get there. This will minimize what you need to lug around. Requesting a fridge in your hotel room ““ most are willing to oblige once they see you have a baby ““ to store milk, formula and other baby food. The hotel will also probably have a portable crib, just bring your own sheets. Make sure to bring baby-proofing supplies as well; outlet covers and corner guards can help baby stay safe.

With a little planning, your end of summer vacation with a six month to one year old can be quite enjoyable. Share your tips in the comments below!
