I’ll be honest with you: getting to the point where I felt comfortable writing this took some time. And I should start with another confession, too: regardless of what anyone says about modesty or vanity or ego, I do care about how I look and I also care about what others think of me. And I’m fairly certain that I’m not alone in that.
If you’re like me, then you should know that you’re not alone either. And you should also know that this short story I’m about to share with you could very well change everything for you (for the better!) – just as it did for me.

I’m a wife and a mother and here’s the problem, short and sweet: I’m not as young as I used to be and, before learning about what I intend to share with you here, was losing my hair and sincerely struggling to feel comfortable in my own skin as a result.
Let me be even a little more honest: I really just wanted to hide in a corner every time I looked in the mirror only to find my (once beautiful!) hair looking tired and thin, or (worse!!!) found clumps (literal clumps!) of hair at the drain of my bathtub.
At the time, I didn’t know that I had options; I only knew that my hair was falling out at an alarming rate and that I was depressed about that. Worse: I felt undesirable and “old” and this affected how I acted around others (especially men, including my own husband).
Now, I may never have been a perfect beauty, but I can say that I have never felt as low about myself as when I noticed that my hair was beginning to fall out. I guess I had never really paid attention to how much it really meant to me. But starting to lose it was a real blow to my self-esteem. In fact, it really just kind of paralyzed me for a while.
I mean, what was I supposed to do? Go buy Rogaine and hope for the best? Was it bad enough yet to consider a hair transplant surgery? Are those sorts of operations even real (or reasonable, for that matter?) I had no idea, but I finally decided to find out.
That moment of decision was a turning point and I really did set out to consider my options. I just couldn’t “wait it out” – maybe some people can, but the more hair I lost, the less I liked myself and that trajectory just wasn’t sustainable. I was miserable!
So, as is my usual way, I got to work. I started with internet research, of course, and eventually began testing certain options (topical options, “laser combs”, supplements, even prescription meds and several laser therapy treatments at a nearby clinic).
Confession: I even went for a hair transplant consultation but left somewhat flabbergasted after learning more about it. Did I really want to consider surgery?? It’s not like anything else I was trying had helped, but still: surgery…? Ugh.
I felt like my back was up against a wall and my hair wasn’t looking (or feeling) any healthier.
Literally the same day I had my surgery consultation, I found something.
I was scrolling through my usual “hair loss treatment” internet searches when I found something called “The Laser Cap” by illumiflow, a small company out of Arizona.
I learned that the Laser Cap actually housed the exact same technology that my laser clinic was using on me (LLLT or Low Level Laser Therapy). Additionally, it was FDA-Cleared, backed by tons of research, 100% painless, portable and discreet!
It didn’t require a prescription and, when I ran the numbers, I realized that I would save myself literally thousands of dollars per year provided the device actually worked.
At the time, I felt like I had nothing to lose (especially after that horrible consultation visit), so I ordered it immediately on a whim.
Ok ok. So are you ready to hear about how it worked?? Can you already guess? Let me just say that I am as (pleasantly!) surprised as anyone to report that, after all that time and frustration of researching and testing so-called “solutions” to hair loss, this one actually worked!
The website told me that I could expect results in as little as 4-6 weeks and, while that timeframe did feel long to me at first, it really did fly by and I am not kidding or exaggerating when I tell you that I did notice results!
First, it became very obvious that less hair was ending up in my drains. Around that time, I started asking my husband if he noticed anything and he agreed that my hair was looking quite a bit healthier!
Another couple of months and I was even finding new hairs growing in! That brings us up to today when my daughters were raving about the new hairs and that’s what motivated me to share this story.
Let’s be clear: I am not a gullible person and when I say that I “research” things, I mean that I actually read the clinical studies and compared data and all that jazz. I make a point of clarifying this because the Laser Cap isn’t a gimmick.
The technology featured in the Laser Cap is actually decades old, with literally thousands of successful clinical studies to back its efficacy with regards to hair restoration.
The real game-changer here was in finding that technology in an affordable, at-home, no-prescription-required package!
Best of all, illumiflow promises a “No-Risk Purchase”, which basically means a Satisfaction Guarantee. Not only was it a portion of what I was spending at the clinic, I could also just send it back if I wasn’t happy with it! Boom!
It’s a no-brainer.
I really mean that: it’s a no-brainer. I know I’m not the only woman out there who battles with hair loss. I also know that, if you’re reading this, then you probably do as well.
So if you’ve been looking for that one way to reconstruct your self-confidence and fix that devastating hair situation once and for all, I’m telling you: this is it.
And if it isn’t, for any reason: just send it back. You can’t go wrong.
Update: Since sharing this story, illumiflow has actually contacted me personally and graciously invited me to share a Special Offer with any readers who might be interested in giving the Laser Cap a go. (For the record, this sort of thing massively increases my respect for the company and I can’t wait to recommend them even more often now!!) They said if you follow this link to their website, you can receive $50 OFF your order of a Laser Cap! Now you don’t have any excuse, do you?
