I have ordered a sweet little nursing sleepwear set that feature a lace-trim surplice-neckline cami and elastic-waist shorts, which I haven’t received yet. I plan on packing it in my hospital bag should it arrive in my mailbox before baby decides to make his debut. And again, I’ll see how I like it before I begin to hoard nursing PJs.
I haven’t quite bought into the idea of buying nursing tops for everyday wear. I figure I’ll wing that at first by creatively shopping my own closet and go from there. I will do the same for nursing covers. I was given a cute little fun print hand-me-down “hooter hider” that I’ll test out too and go from there regarding stocking up on more. A good friend of mine tossed on a lightweight poncho she already owned when she breast-fed. I thought that was kind of ingenious.
It remains to be seen the various places I’ll be when the need will arise to feed little Liam and how much what I’m wearing will weigh into the comfort and ease of it all. I’m confident I’ll be a pro in no time and promise to follow up. In the meantime, would love to hear from you regarding what type of nursing mom fashion you’ve found to work best.
