Actress and new mom Selma Blair recently admitted a less-than-glamorous side of motherhood – hair loss. Her hair started falling out about three months after giving birth, she recently told People Magazine.
"This is so not glamorous, but it's true: I need to take longer showers so that I can collect the hair that falls out and throw it away so I don't clog the drain. Why do actresses never talk about that?" she joked to the news source. "And I'm not a girl who likes extensions, so Selma's going to be bald!"
According to The Daily Mail, many new mothers experience post-partum hair loss because of a decline in estrogen levels after pregnancy. It usually sets in after four months of giving birth but stops after about six.
