When a woman follows sensible, healthy pregnancy diet guidelines she is helping to provide for the building blocks her growing baby needs for a healthy life and assisting her body to have the energy it needs during the demanding months of pregnancy. Many healthcare providers caring for pregnant women hand out nutrition facts concerning pregnancy and can answer the questions a pregnant women may have about her diet especially if she has special medical conditions.
