The miscarriage, which was diagnosed 19 weeks and 1 day into the pregnancy, was not the first for the Duggars. Michelle suffered her first after the birth of her first son, Joshua, 23. The couple had been using oral birth control after and have said that the miscarriage was one of the reasons they no longer use birth control, the news source reports.
The family, which stars on the TLC reality show "19 Kids and Counting," is grateful for the outpouring of thoughts and prayers from the public, but is asking for privacy during this time, Jim Bob recently told Us Weekly.
