Singer-turned-designer Jessica Simpson recently told Us Weekly that her sense of fashion would not be compromised by her pregnancy – she would still wear fitted clothes and high heels.
Her recent appearance at the Footwear Achievement Awards at the Museum of Modern Art in New York proved that she plans to hold true to those statements. The mom-to-be donned a scarlet red wrap dress that hugged her baby bump and sky-high platform stilettos at her first red carpet event since announcing her pregnancy with fiance Eric Johnson, Us Weekly reports.
The couple announced that they were expecting a baby on Halloween, and Simpson has since declared that she will continue to wear heels until the day the infant is born, and that she prefers tight-fitting maternity clothes that allow her to show off her bump.
