The Importance of Seeing a Lactation Specialist During Pregnancy

Many new mothers are concerned over their baby’s weight gain and unsure of how tell if their baby is receiving enough milk. The lactation specialist will provide the mother with information and provide a detailed plan on how to start breastfeeding. She will also instruct the mother on what to look for regarding the amount of wet and dirty diapers the baby should have and how to tell if the baby is effectively expressing milk from the breast.
