Creative Ways To Announce the New Baby
Whether you choose to tell early or you choose to wait until later in your pregnancy, the decision is very personal and ultimately comes down to what you and your spouse feel comfortable with. Once you have decided to tell extended family, you can make the occasion special by announcing the pregnancy in a creative way. These ideas may help you find a unique way to share your joy with extended family.
- Place a picture of the ultrasound in a card with a note that says: “See you soon” or “Can’t wait to meet you.”
- Let an older sibling wear a shirt that say big brother or big sister to your next family function.
- Arrange a family gathering and set a place card for each family member with his or her new title, such as grandma, grandpa, aunt or uncle. Make one special place card that says reserved for baby.
