Furniture for 1, 2, 3 Children!
We have spent the last few weeks buying furniture for my three children as we’re moving our youngest son out of our daughter’s room and in with his big brother. It seems like we were just buying furniture for them…right before they were born.
To save others the headache of buying more kids’ furniture after having already invested in baby furniture a few short years earlier, I wholeheartedly suggest buying furniture that grows with your child. If it works for your family and your budget, it’s the way to go!
When we had our first son, we were given a very nice hand-me-down brown crib and already had a dresser, so we used those. All we had to do was buy a crib mattress. Next up was my daughter for which I had lovely visions of a pink room with a white crib. So that’s what we purchased: a plain white crib. This is where our baby furniture purchasing began and in hindsight I wish I’d done more research and made a bigger upfront investment to save us money in the long run.
