Country Singer Becomes a Father
Country singer Eric Church welcomed his first child with wife Katherine on
Monday, October 3. The pair named the 7-pound, 11-ounce baby boy Boone McCoy, CBS News reports.
“Everybody always tells you what an awesome and unique experience being a
parent is,” Church said in a statement. “Words can never do the feeling
justice.”
He added that he feels “thankful and blessed to have a healthy and happy baby
boy and baby mama.”
The singer and songwriter is known for his hits “Smoke A Little Smoke” and
“Love Your Love the Most,” the news source reports. He has been on tour with Toby Keith but will scale back his performances now that the baby has arrived. However, he is nominated for new artist of the year at the Country Music Association Awards, which will air November 9.
