Small Handheld Toys- Toys like rattles and teethers will help your baby learn to grasp objects and discovery how her limbs work. Babies love to put toys in their mouths, so choose something that is not a choking hazard. When babies put an object or toys in the mouth, they are not only tasting, but feeling the object. Rattles that make simple noises stimulate hearing and teach infants how to create this noise.
Unbreakable Mirrors – Although at birth a baby is very near sighted, the image of her face will appear in a mirror. Maybe blurry at first, slowly she will be able to make out a face. While your baby will not understand that she is seeing her own face, this stimulates vision and you may even witness a few conversations from your baby.
Remember that when choosing baby toys, opt for items that encourage a baby to interact and manipulate the toy. With brain development thriving on play, the is no better tool than this.
