The world seemed to stop when the press announced that Beyonce gave birth to her first child, Blue Ivy, with husband Jay-Z over the weekend. Many people, including celebrities, took to various social networks to congratulate the couple on their happy addition, but it seems as though their bundle of joy may have made life tough for other people in the hospital.
Us Weekly reports that because the couple reportedly dropped $1.3 million on security in New York City's Lenox Hill Hospital, the facility was pretty much on lockdown to make sure the famous parents stayed hidden.
One dad took offense to these security measures, as he was simply trying to visit his twins who were born prematurely, according to the New York Daily News.
"Three times they stopped me from entering or exiting the NICU (neo-natal intensive care unit) and it happened once on Friday – just because they wanted to use the hallway," Neil Coulon, a contractor from Bedford-Stuyvesant whose twins were in the unit, told the news provider. "They should have been more strategic about. These are children with problems in intensive care and you're just going to take over the hospital like you own it? All I want is an apology."
