1) Pull out furniture and sweep/dust behind (have your partner do the physical work)
2) Ditto with the appliances in your kitchen
3) Get as much laundry done as you can
4) Launder curtains or window treatments (have your partner take them down so you don’t have to climb on a ladder or furniture)
5) Sweep and mop your floors
6) Change sheets on your bed
7) Thoroughly wash bathroom (have your partner do this; it can be dangerous to be leaning over the bathtub, and you’ll want to avoid a faceful of chemicals)
8 ) Have your partner wipe down your ceiling fans. Dust tends to accumulate up there and you don’t want the fans blowing all that dirt around your house.
Cooking
You’re probably wondering why you should even worry about this, but having a freezer full of healthy and ready-to-go meals will be a tremendous help. Cook double batches of a few of your favorite, freezer friendly meals and freeze them in individual portions. That way, all you’ll have to do is pull one or two out and pop them in the microwave or oven. This will save you a ton of time when you’re feeding your little one around the clock
Most importantly, remember to rest and stay hydrated! It’s easy to feel exhausted or stressed, especially when you feel like you have a lot to do. Whatever you can get done is great and let go of everything else. Don’t beat yourself up just because you didn’t get to something on your list, or you don’t feel up to cleaning.
